A special education teaching opportunity is available in Southeastern Minnesota, serving students in grades 7 and 8. This contract position is ideal for licensed professionals holding a Minnesota special education teaching license, seeking to support a diverse classroom of 14 students with varying disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction in reading, writing, and math aligned with individual education plans (IEPs).
- Provide targeted support to students in federal settings 1, 2, and 3 within a resource classroom environment.
- Address goals related to academic skills, social development, and organizational skills.
- Collaborate with staff to effectively meet the needs of students with disabilities.
Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota special education teaching license required.
- Experience working with middle school students in a special education setting.
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to accommodate varying disabilities.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Location:
- Position based in Harmony, Minnesota, part of Southeastern MN.
Schedule:
- Flexible work hours available with start times at 7:30, 7:45, or 8:00 AM and end times accordingly at 3:30, 3:45, or 4:00 PM.
