A Special Education Teacher position is available for a K-12 school in Saint Paul, MN. This contract role is for the current school year (CSY), providing an opportunity to support diverse learners in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students' unique needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to support student success
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting methodologies as needed to promote learning and development
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by state and federal regulations
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and growth
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification applicable to K-12 students
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and abilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and staff
- Ability to create adaptable lesson plans and deliver instruction in a manner that meets individual learning goals
- Commitment to upholding educational standards and providing equitable access to learning
