This full-semester contract opportunity is for an experienced Special Education teacher to provide targeted support in an elementary behavior-focused program. The position is based onsite in Burnsville, MN, working within a cross-categorical setting designed for students with diverse needs, primarily those identified with Emotional Behavior Disorder.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instructional strategies and behavioral interventions to a caseload of approximately 8-10 elementary students.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor behavior plans while maintaining structured classroom routines.
  • Collaborate effectively with special education and general education colleagues, as well as paraprofessionals, to support student success.
  • Maintain excellent attendance and professional communication with team members and supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Minnesota teaching license with any special education endorsement including, but not limited to: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Disabilities, Early Childhood, Emotional Behavioral Disorders, or Learning Disabilities.
  • Preferred but not required: Academic & Behavioral Strategist (ABS) license, facilitating support across multiple disability areas.
  • Proven expertise in behavior strategies, problem-solving, and classroom management.
  • Strong instructional skills and the ability to foster a positive learning environment.

Location:

  • This onsite role is situated at an elementary school program in Burnsville, MN.

Additional Information:

  • This assignment begins January 5 and concludes June 4, 2026.
  • Work schedule consists of 37.5 hours per week.
  • Candidates will be required to submit a completed supervisor reference along with proof of licensure and a resume to be considered.
