A middle school setting requires a Special Education Teacher to provide support and instruction to students with emotional and behavioral disabilities (EBD) in a structured learning environment. This contract position runs from January to June 2026 and involves working closely with students, families, and staff to create individualized educational plans and promote student growth.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering specialized instruction tailored to students' social, emotional, and academic needs
  • Managing and supporting a caseload within a middle school environment
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere to encourage student engagement

Qualifications:

  • Minnesota Tier 3 or Tier 4 Teaching Certification in Special Education
  • Valid Minnesota Teaching License specific to Special Education
  • Experience working with middle school students in special education, preferably in EBD settings
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with staff and families
  • Passion for supporting diverse learners and fostering student success

Position Details:

  • Location: Anoka, MN (Middle School environment)
  • Contract Duration: January 5, 2026, through June 5, 2026
  • Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:35 AM – 3:15 PM (37.5 hours per week)
  • Caseload: Middle School Special Education setting III for EBD students
