A full-time opportunity is available for a High School Special Education Teacher focusing on Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD). This position involves working with a caseload of approximately 15 students in grades 9 through 12 within a self-contained and/or integrated classroom setting, tailored to meet diverse student needs. Some students will have dedicated 1:1 paraprofessional support to enhance their learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver academic and behavioral instruction aligned with students’ Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs to ensure student progress.
- Maintain classroom routines with consistency and structure to foster a supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate effectively with related service providers, support staff, and families to support student success.
- Apply positive behavior supports and utilize data-driven interventions to address behavioral needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active New Hampshire Special Education Certification with an endorsement in Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD).
- Experience working with high school students in special education settings is preferred.
- Strong skills in developing and implementing IEPs.
- Ability to collaborate efficiently within a multidisciplinary team.
