Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential
  • CTC (California Teaching Commission) credential needed
  • Experience teaching students with special needs, ideally in early childhood or elementary settings
  • In-person availability; remote/virtual support is not part of this role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Adaptable, organized, and eager to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and adapt instructional materials to meet individualized student needs
  • Deliver engaging lessons consistent with IEP goals for Transitional Kindergarten students
  • Track student progress and provide regular feedback to families and support staff
  • Collaborate with school teams to support an inclusive learning environment
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the evaluation process
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and district policies
  • Foster a positive, encouraging classroom culture
