Qualifications:

  • Valid Education Specialist Credential required
  • Moderate/Severe teaching license required

Responsibilities:

  • Teach and support high school students in a Special Day Class (SDC) program
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique goals and abilities
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and parents to ensure academic and social success
  • Foster a classroom community where every learner is respected, encouraged, and empowered
  • Monitor progress, adapt instruction as needed, and maintain accurate records in compliance with state guidelines
  • Participate in professional development to continuously enhance teaching strategies and outcomes
