Step into a rewarding role supporting K-8 students as a full-time Resource Specialist (RSP) in Daly City, CA. This contract position begins as soon as possible and offers full-time hours of 6.5 per day (32.5 hours per week), with a caseload of up to 23 students (plus 4 pending) across multiple grade levels.
The ideal candidate will bring experience as an RSP teacher, including strong case management skills and the ability to thrive in both general education and pull-out settings. Your expertise will help ensure that every student receives the support they need while navigating varying environments seamlessly. This role is suited for a self-sufficient educator who can step in with minimal training.
Qualifications:
- Valid mild/moderate California teaching credential (required)
- Proven background as an RSP teacher with experience managing caseloads, ideally up to 28 students
- Adept at collaborating with general education staff and supporting students in both push-in and pull-out models
- Strong communication and case management skills
- Knowledge of creating and implementing IEPs
Responsibilities:
- Oversee a K-8 caseload, managing up to 23 students with pending additions
- Deliver specialized instruction and interventions in both general education and resource settings
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs to meet each student’s needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support personnel
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports
