A high school in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide specialized instruction and support for students with mild to moderate learning needs. This role is designed for an educator dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment and enhancing student success within a resource caseload.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction to students in grades 8th through 12th
  • Manage a resource caseload of approximately 10 students, tailoring strategies to meet diverse academic and behavioral needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as necessary to ensure growth and achievement
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student performance and compliance with special education standards

Qualifications:

  • Valid Mild/Moderate Special Education teaching credential or license
  • Experience working with high school students in a special education setting
  • Ability to design and execute instructional plans that address individual student needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Proven organizational skills to manage caseload effectively

Position Details:

  • Part-time, 20 hours per week
  • Schedule includes partial days on Mondays and full days on Wednesdays and Fridays
