In a dynamic educational environment, six positions are available for the Extended School Year (ESY) in Kansas City, KS. This short-term contract role runs from May 28 to June 26, 2025, offering a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of K-12 students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored instruction and support to meet the individual needs of students with varying disabilities.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.
- Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) in accordance with state regulations.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and communication with families.
- Participate in professional development opportunities as required.
Qualifications:
- Active Kansas teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
- Experience teaching students with special needs, preferably in a K-12 setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment for all students.
