Special Ed Teacher - Silver Spring, Maryland

Engage in a dynamic educational role designed for impactful collaboration in a high school setting. This opportunity involves co-teaching positions in Special Education, with a focus on either English or Math courses. The role requires partnering closely with general education teachers to support diverse learners and tailor instruction to meet individual education plan (IEP) objectives. Located in a supportive learning environment in the Silver Spring area, this contract position is well suited for educators holding a Maryland Special Education License (6-Adult).

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with general education teachers to co-teach English or Math courses.
• Monitor and document student progress related to IEP goals and objectives.
• Adapt instructional strategies to accommodate the unique needs of high school students.
• Participate in ongoing communication and planning to ensure cohesive educational delivery.
• Maintain a professional schedule from approximately 7:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Desired Qualifications:

• Maryland Special Education License valid for grades 6-Adult.
• Experience in co-teaching and special education at the high school level.
• Strong collaborative skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
