A Special Education Teacher is needed to support an elementary school during a maternity leave assignment from 11/24/25 through the end of the school year. This contract position will serve a caseload of 12 students in grades 4-5 within a single school site.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collecting data on Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals/objectives and Early Learning Development Standards (ELDS)
- Developing and updating IEPs tailored to each student’s needs
- Presenting and actively participating in IEP meetings to ensure effective planning and progress monitoring
- Supervising paraeducators to support student learning and classroom management
- Maintaining consistent communication with parents regarding student progress and needs
- Reporting progress on IEP goals regularly
- Conducting academic achievement testing to inform instruction and interventions
Ideal candidates will have experience working in special education within an elementary school environment and be comfortable managing a moderate caseload. Strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team are essential for success in this role.
