Seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for an elementary school setting in Stamford, CT. This contract position spans the current school year through June 2026, offering a full-time schedule of 32.5 to 35 hours per week. The role focuses on providing specialized support to K-5 students with diverse learning needs, incorporating both push-in and pull-out service models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized special education services to elementary students within the classroom and in small group or one-on-one settings.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to support inclusive learning environments.
- Develop and implement specialized instructional plans tailored to student IEP goals.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with parents and school staff.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall success of the special education program.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
- Prior school experience working with elementary-aged students (K-5).
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, best practices, and intervention strategies.
- Ability to provide both push-in and pull-out services effectively.
