Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or relevant field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with middle school-aged students in an adaptive setting.

• Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement them effectively.
• Knowledge of various teaching strategies and adaptive technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate students’ abilities and needs to develop appropriate IEP goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure the integration of students into the general curriculum.

• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to support individual learning outcomes.
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and support staff regarding student progress and needs.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a team-based approach for student success.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
