An opening is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in telehealth, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This role is based onsite in Belton, SC, and involves working within a self-contained classroom designed for elementary students with moderate to severe disabilities. The position is a contract assignment for the current school year (CSY) to cover maternity leave.
Responsibilities include managing a classroom of 10-12 students, providing individualized instruction tailored to each child’s unique needs, and collaborating with three teaching assistants to support educational goals. The teacher will develop and implement lesson plans aligned with special education standards and utilize telehealth methods to enhance student learning and engagement.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Certification in special education teaching
- Experience working with students who have moderate to severe disabilities
- Ability to manage and facilitate a self-contained classroom environment
