A part-time teaching opportunity is available for a Special Education and Health-certified educator to provide individualized instruction to a high school student who is homebound. This role requires delivering Health education on a one-on-one basis, tailored to the student's needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing individualized Health instruction to a high school student in a homebound setting
- Ensuring lessons align with established curriculum and accommodate the student's unique learning requirements
- Delivering services during the regular school day
- Coordinating with relevant staff to support the student's academic progress
Qualifications:
- Dual certification in Health Education and Special Education at the high school level
- Experience working with high school students, preferably in a one-on-one or specialized setting
- Ability to provide instruction that meets individual student needs
- Strong communication skills and professionalism
Position details:
- Part-time, approximately 5 hours or less per week
- Located in Brentwood, NY
- Contract position running year-round from ASAP through June 30, 2026
- Services to be provided during the school day
