A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available within a K-12 school setting in Texico, NM, beginning December 8, 2025, through May 21, 2026. This contract position offers the chance to work onsite, supporting resource classrooms with a focus on both elementary and high school levels. Four openings are available to bring dedicated special education professionals into a dynamic educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to students in resource classrooms
- Manage individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching methods to meet student needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to promote inclusive learning
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports for students
- Assist with the pending licensure process as applicable
Qualifications:
- Active Special Education (SPED) certification/license in New Mexico is required
- Experience working with K-12 students in a special education resource setting preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills to manage caseload effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively within a school team environment

- Full-time commitment, 37.5 hours per week
