A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school serving grades Kindergarten through 2nd grade. This contract role spans the full academic year, from August 13 to May 28, and offers a unique four-day work week, running Tuesday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide pull-out special education services tailored to individual student needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students in K-2.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to promote inclusive learning.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies accordingly.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment to enhance student growth.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with early elementary-aged children, particularly K-2.
- Strong understanding of special education laws and best practices.
- Ability to create individualized and flexible learning plans.
- Effective communication skills for working with students, families, and colleagues.
