A Special Education Teacher with experience in Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD) is sought for a part-time position in a group home setting. This contract role focuses on supporting high school-aged students, ages 14-21, with specialized educational needs. The position offers flexible scheduling with a blend of direct in-person instruction and indirect services.

Location:

  • Vienna, GA

Position Type:

  • Contract
  • Part-time (15-20 hours per week)
  • School Year (CSY) duration

Schedule:

  • In-person hours: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Flexible timing for indirect services

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support tailored for students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders
  • Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) to address academic and behavioral goals
  • Collaborate with group home staff and other educational professionals to coordinate services and maximize student progress
  • Utilize evidence-based strategies to promote positive behavior and social-emotional development
  • Monitor and document student progress and adjust instructional approaches accordingly
  • Deliver engaging, age-appropriate educational activities for students aged 14-21

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching certification with expertise in EBD
  • Experience working with adolescents in group home or similar residential settings preferred
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
