This K-12 special education teaching opportunity offers a contract position supporting students in a public school setting in Waltham, MA. The roles focus on providing specialized instruction at both the middle and high school levels, designed for educators holding a moderate special education license with secondary experience.
Locations and Position Details:
- Two full-time positions at the high school level (grades 9-12), with working hours from 7:30 AM to 2:10 PM. These assignments extend through June 2026.
- One full-time position at the middle school level (grades 6-8), working from 7:50 AM to 2:40 PM, with the contract lasting until March 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to meet the diverse learning needs of students requiring special education services.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor and document student progress while maintaining compliance with educational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student growth and independence.
Qualifications:
- Moderate special education license required.
- Experience teaching at the secondary level (grades 6-12) preferred.
