Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
- Proven experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly with AU and moderate needs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in co-teaching settings.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
Location: Oxford, NC
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that meet the individualized needs of each student.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to create an inclusive classroom environment.
- Provide instruction through co-teaching and pull-out services as determined by IEPs.
- Assess and document student progress, adapting strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff regarding student development and needs.
