A Rhode Island middle school seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide instruction and support in a sub-separate classroom for 8th-grade students with intellectual disabilities. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with a small caseload of four students, fostering a highly personalized and impactful learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to meet the individual learning needs of students with intellectual disabilities.
- Collaborate closely with support staff and related service providers to create and implement effective educational plans.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to promote growth and success.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Rhode Island Moderate (5–12) or Severe Special Education Teaching License required.
- Out-of-state licenses will be considered, with the expectation of eligibility to work in Rhode Island.

- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
