Two Special Education Teacher Positions – Waterbury, CT Elementary School

This opportunity is for dedicated educators to serve as Special Education Teachers in an elementary school setting, working with Pre-K and grades K-5 students. The contract runs from December through the end of the school year (EOSY), with a 37.5-hour work week, Monday through Friday. There are currently two openings available: one for a self-contained Pre-K to grade 3 classroom and one specifically for Pre-K.

Key Qualifications:

• Hold a current Connecticut Special Education licensure (either 165 or 265), which covers PK-12
• Preferred candidates for the Pre-K opening will also have Connecticut Early Childhood licensure (113 or 213)
• Experience working with students in self-contained special education classrooms at the Pre-K through grade 3 level is highly desirable
• Strong commitment to supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of students with diverse needs

Position Details:

• Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday
• Contract duration: December start through the end of the school year
• Caseload/Age Range: One opening for Pre-K students only; one opening for a self-contained PK-3 classroom
