A school district in Waterbury, CT is seeking a Special Education Teacher for the 2025-2026 academic year. This full-time contract position involves working within an elementary school setting, serving students from kindergarten through 5th grade.
Responsibilities include providing both push-in and pull-out special education services to meet the diverse needs of students. The role requires managing an elementary caseload and delivering individualized instruction and support in collaboration with classroom teachers and support staff. This is an in-person position with a typical workweek of 32.5 to 35 hours.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Prior experience working as a Special Education Teacher in a school environment
- Ability to provide differentiated instruction and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, students, and families
