A dedicated Special Education Teacher is needed immediately to support students from kindergarten through 5th grade in a well-established K-12 public school setting located in West Chester, OH. This full-time, contracted position offers the opportunity to work with a small group of approximately 16 students at Monroe Elementary, focusing primarily on resource/pullout services with occasional push-in support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and interventions tailored to individual student needs within resource and pullout settings
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to provide push-in support, enhancing inclusion and student engagement
- Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Work closely with related service providers, including coordination with Emergis specialists to support student development
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of instructional strategies and outcomes
- Participate in staff meetings and parent conferences as required
- Follow an 8:15 AM to 3:30 PM bell schedule, adhering to school policies and procedures
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for K-5
- Experience working with elementary-aged students with diverse learning needs
- Strong skills in behavior management and differentiated instruction
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mental health providers

This contract position runs from the start of the school year through the end-of-school-year (ASAP to EOSY). Vocational assignments are not included in this role.
