A high school special education teaching position is available in West Chester, PA for the current school year. This contract role offers the opportunity to support students with diverse learning needs in an educational environment dedicated to their growth and success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs
- Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure comprehensive support
- Creating adaptive lesson plans and instructional materials to promote student engagement and learning
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies accordingly
- Maintaining accurate records and complying with all special education regulations and policies
Qualifications/Experience:
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with high school students in special education settings
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to differentiate instruction and utilize a variety of teaching methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
