Elementary Special Ed Teacher | West Chicago, Illinois

An opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher to support students in an elementary school setting in West Chicago, IL. This full-time, contract position involves providing resource classroom support, helping students with special needs achieve academic success in a supportive learning environment. The role is scheduled for the current school year (CSY).

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction tailored to students with diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and support inclusion.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with regulations.
• Monitor and document student progress, communicating updates with parents and staff.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Illinois Special Education License.
• Licensed as an LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist 1).
• Proven experience working with elementary-aged children in special education.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to create nurturing and effective learning environments.
