A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available to provide specialized instruction and support to K-12 students in a collaborative environment. Based in Whitefish, MT, this contract role is ideal for educators experienced in special education, working with either K-4th or 5th-8th grade student caseloads.
Work Schedule & Environment:
- Full-time, approximately 32 hours per week
- Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:15 PM
- Collaborative teaching alongside another Special Education Teacher
- Serving a caseload of about 12 students
Responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), adapting curriculum to meet diverse learning needs, and supporting student academic and social progress. The position requires strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Certification or licensure in Special Education
- Experience teaching students with diverse learning needs in K-12 settings
- Ability to collaborate effectively with co-teachers and support staff
- Excellent communication skills with students, families, and team members
- Commitment to student growth and development
