The position is contract-based for the current school year, requiring 35 hours of work per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with related services staff.
  • Manage case responsibilities effectively to support student progress.
  • Work closely with paraprofessionals to maximize classroom support.
  • Maintain compliance with Virginia state education standards and special education policies.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Virginia teaching license with Special Education endorsement is required.
  • Experience working with Early Childhood and Lower Elementary level students (K-5).

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
