Special Ed Teacher - Woonsocket, Rhode Island

A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available in an early childhood school setting located in Woonsocket, RI. This contract position will support K-3 students in a self-contained classroom, providing specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs within a supportive learning environment. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction aligned with IEP goals to students in grades K-3
• Implement effective classroom management strategies in a self-contained special education setting
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including therapists, counselors, and general education staff
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and reporting
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that meets diverse learning needs

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification/license
• Experience working with early childhood learners in K-3 classrooms preferred
• Ability to design and implement differentiated lessons based on student goals
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with staff and families
• Commitment to supporting students with special needs in an onsite school environment
