A school in Worcester, MA is seeking Special Education Teachers for contract positions during the current school year. These roles focus on providing specialized support to K-1 students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and high school students requiring resource room instruction.

Special Education Teacher – K–1 Sub-Separate (ASD) This position involves teaching a sub-separate classroom for K-1 students diagnosed with ASD. Responsibilities include delivering individualized instruction tailored to students’ needs, promoting communication and social skills development, and collaborating closely with staff and families to help students achieve their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Special Education Teacher with appropriate state certification

Special Education Teacher – High School Resource This role requires managing a resource room for high school students with special education needs. Duties include providing targeted instruction, case managing IEPs, and supporting students’ academic success in both specialized resource settings and inclusive general education environments.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Special Education Teacher with appropriate state certification
• Experience teaching high school students preferred
• Knowledge of IEP development and progress monitoring processes
