A contract opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support middle school students in a leave replacement role from November 5th through December 19th. This position is full-time, with daily hours of 7:30 AM to 2:05 PM, working with students in grades 5 through 8.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering instruction in English Language Arts (ELA) and Math to a small group of 11 students.
- Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting lessons to meet the diverse learning needs of students with moderate to severe disabilities.
- Collaborating with colleagues and support staff to ensure an inclusive educational environment.
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining detailed records aligned with special education requirements.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification for Moderate or Severe Disabilities.
- Experience teaching middle school students, particularly in ELA and Math.
- Ability to manage a classroom of students with varying needs and create an engaging learning environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
