A direct hire opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support elementary students in an inclusive and supportive learning environment. This position is located approximately 50 minutes west of St. Louis and offers a chance to make a meaningful impact within the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities
- Provide instruction and support to elementary students requiring special education services
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to facilitate an inclusive classroom experience
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal special education regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid Missouri teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of current special education laws, practices, and instructional strategies
Location: Elementary school approximately 50 minutes west of St. Louis, Missouri
