Intervention Specialist – Special Education Teacher
Location: Xenia, OH | Contract Position | School Setting

An opportunity is available for a dedicated Intervention Specialist to support students with multiple disabilities (MD) and/or emotional disabilities (ED) in a self-contained classroom environment. This role is ideal for educators passionate about making a meaningful difference through specialized instruction tailored to students with unique learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction and intervention plans for students with mild to moderate or moderate to intensive disabilities
• Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and implement effective educational strategies
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse needs
• Foster a positive, supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student growth and development
• Ensure compliance with all state educational guidelines and best practices for special education

Qualifications and Experience:

• Must hold or be willing to obtain a State Board of Education (SBOE) license as an Intervention Specialist
• Eligibility to teach in mild to moderate or moderate to intensive education fields is required
• Prior experience working with MD and/or ED students in a self-contained classroom is highly desirable
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills essential
• Ability to adapt instruction plans to meet individual student needs and promote inclusive learning environments

Schedule and Contract Details:

• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: End of current school year
• Hours: Approximately 37.5 hours per week
