Grades 9 - 12 Math Special Ed Teacher | York, Pennsylvania

A High School Special Education Teacher with a focus on Math is needed for grades 9-12 in York, PA. This contract role runs from ASAP through June 2, 2026, and requires onsite presence. The position is newly created to enhance math achievement within the Special Education department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized math instruction tailored to high school students with special needs
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure student success
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed to meet learning objectives
• Maintain compliance with all relevant educational and district policies

Qualifications:

• Full Pennsylvania Special Education teaching licensure (Instructional I or II) is required; candidates able to obtain certification before start date are also considered
• Dual certification in Special Education and High School Math preferred
• Experience working with high school students in special education settings
• Strong communication and organizational skills to manage caseload and collaborate effectively
