Schools Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (23/24)-Tonopah, Arizona

Job Summary: Our school district in Tonopah, Arizona is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team for the 2023-2024 school year. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students in grades K-12, working collaboratively with school staff, parents, and community members.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify speech and language disorders and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide speech and language therapy services to students with a range of communication disorders and delays
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and treatment plans
• Participate in IEP meetings and other meetings related to student progress and services
• Keep abreast of developments in the field of speech and language therapy and participate in professional development activities

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
• Arizona state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
• Experience working with children with a range of communication disorders and delays
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
