A full-time teaching opportunity is available for an experienced educator specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students within a K-12 school setting in Colorado Springs, CO. Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, addressing their unique learning needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Utilize appropriate communication methods, including sign language and assistive technology, to enhance student learning
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting teaching strategies accordingly
  • Provide support and training to classroom staff and parents regarding Deaf and Hard of Hearing education strategies and resources
  • Promote an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that fosters social and academic growth

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification for Deaf and Hard of Hearing or related endorsement
  • Experience working with K-12 students with hearing impairments

  • Skilled in developing and adapting curriculum to meet diverse learner needs
