Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Education or related field
  • Valid Washington state DHH (Deaf/Hard of Hearing) certification
  • Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in special education settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Location: Kent, WA

Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored educational services to students who are deaf, hard of hearing, or going deaf
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other educational staff
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and adapt teaching strategies as needed
  • Support students in their social and emotional development alongside academic growth
  • Engage in regular communication with students, parents, and team members regarding progress and needs
