An opportunity exists for a dedicated professional to support K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing in an inclusive educational environment. This full-time position for the 2025-2026 school year involves working as an itinerant teacher, providing vital services across multiple campuses.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification in Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with K-12 students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and families
- Knowledge of current best practices in deaf education
Location:
- Gillette, WY, serving various K-12 schools
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students
- Assess students’ progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to facilitate learning
- Provide direct instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and needs
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and student progress
