Seeking a dedicated Teacher specialized in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education for grades K-12 in Killeen, TX. This full-time, contract position offers a 40-hour workweek and begins on May 29, 2026, for the 2025-2026 school year. The role is designed to support students with hearing impairments, providing tailored instruction and fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing across K-12 grade levels
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies and communication methods to meet diverse student needs
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adapting teaching methods as needed
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to support student development
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with state education standards and policies

Qualifications:

  • Valid Texas Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teaching Certification
  • Experience working with K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing is highly preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and staff
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary educational team
