A specialized teaching opportunity is available for an educator skilled in supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students within a K-12 setting. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction tailored to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across grades K-12
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Utilize assistive technologies and communication strategies to support student learning
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Certification or licensure in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education or closely related field
  • Experience teaching K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Strong knowledge of communication modalities such as American Sign Language (ASL), lip reading, or auditory-oral techniques
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, therapists, and families
  • Commitment to creating inclusive and supportive classroom environments
