This full-time, contract position supports K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in the Pleasant View, TN area. The role requires an active Tennessee Department of Education certification and involves service delivery tailored to students’ needs across multiple schools within the district. The assignment spans from January 5, 2026, through May 20, 2026, with approximately 35 hours per week dedicated to making a meaningful impact on student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across K-12 grades
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with school teams and families
  • Facilitate communication access and promote language development aligned with students’ needs
  • Conduct assessments and progress monitoring to guide instructional adjustments
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, speech therapists, and other professionals to support inclusive learning environments
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services and student progress per state and district guidelines

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Tennessee DOE Certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education
  • Experience working with K-12 Deaf/Hard of Hearing students preferred
  • Strong understanding of hearing loss impact on language acquisition and learning
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Location:

  • Pleasant View, Tennessee — onsite position (remote or hybrid work not available)
