An opportunity is available for a dedicated professional skilled in educating students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing within a K-12 school setting. This contract-based position offers an engaging environment to support the unique learning needs of these students, fostering their academic and social development through specialized instructional strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across grades K-12.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Utilize assistive technologies and communication methods appropriate for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods to ensure educational goals are met.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certification and experience as a Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Strong understanding of audiological, speech, and language modalities related to Deaf education.
- Experience with K-12 special education curriculum and services.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
