Virtual Teach of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in TX

A specialized teaching role is available for an educator skilled in supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, serving grades K-12. This contract position spans the full school year and is based in Garland, TX.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering tailored instruction to students with hearing impairments across various grade levels
• Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) that address the unique needs of each student
• Utilizing specialized communication methods and assistive technologies to enhance learning
• Collaborating with families, support staff, and related service providers to foster student success
• Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with educational standards

Preferred qualifications and experience:

• Certification or licensure in teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Experience working with K-12 populations in educational settings
• Strong knowledge of auditory and visual teaching techniques
