Virtual Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher in DE

An opportunity is available for a licensed Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to provide specialized telehealth instruction remotely for students ranging from preschool through high school. This itinerant role supports K-12 learners across Delaware, delivering tailored educational services that address the unique communication and learning needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.

Key responsibilities include:

• Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with hearing impairments.
• Delivering instruction and support via telehealth platforms to engage students effectively.
• Collaborating with families, school personnel, and related service providers to enhance student success.
• Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
• Maintaining detailed records and documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Valid Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teaching license in Delaware.
• Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in an educational setting.
• Proficiency with telehealth tools and technologies.

• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload remotely.
