Teacher of Visually Impaired in Eden Prairie, MN

A full-semester contract position is available for a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) specializing in K-12 education. This role focuses on providing tailored instruction and support to students with visual impairments, ensuring they achieve academic success and gain essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments.
• Provide direct instruction in specialized skills such as Braille, orientation, and mobility.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and other professionals to support student learning.
• Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Utilize adaptive technologies and resources to enhance student engagement.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with school policies and state regulations.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) or equivalent.
• Experience working with K-12 students who have visual impairments.
