An Early Childhood School in Fitzgerald, GA is seeking a skilled professional with expertise in Braille instruction and orientation and mobility skills to support young students in grades K-5. This part-time role offers a flexible schedule, ideal for professionals looking to contribute one to two half or full days per week throughout the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction in Braille literacy to support the individualized needs of students
• Deliver orientation and mobility training to enhance students’ independence and confidence
• Collaborate with the Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to develop and implement effective learning strategies
• Monitor and track student progress to adjust teaching methods as needed
• Communicate regularly with school staff and families to support student development

Qualifications:

• Certification or proven experience as a Braillist and Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS)
