This full-time, contracted position involves working with a diverse caseload of 10-15 students, ranging in age from 3 to 21, across various locations. The role focuses on providing tailored educational support to enhance student learning and development.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Wisconsin DPI License #1825 in Visual Impairment
  • Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in a classroom setting
  • Strong assessment skills and the ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with educators, families, and support staff
  • Ability to manage time and travel between multiple sites as required

Location:

  • New Berlin, WI

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction to students with visual impairments, adapting materials and instructional strategies to meet individual needs
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and develop appropriate IEP goals
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to integrate students into the learning environment
  • Provide guidance and resources to families regarding strategies to support their child's education
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
