A full-time teacher for the visually impaired is needed to cover a leave for the second semester at a high school located about 30 minutes north of Boston, MA. This contract position offers an opportunity to work closely with a high school student, delivering specialized instructional support tailored to the needs of visually impaired learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction and support to a visually impaired high school student.
- Develop and implement appropriate educational materials and strategies.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to facilitate student progress.
- Utilize assistive technology to enhance learning experiences.
- Monitor and document student achievements and challenges to inform instructional planning.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI).
- Proven experience working with visually impaired students in a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of instructional methods and assistive technologies used for visually impaired learners.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learner needs.

- Position is based in Lynn, MA, approximately 30 minutes north of Boston.
Duration:
- Contract assignment covering the second semester.
