A full-time contract opportunity is available for a skilled educator specializing in visual impairment support within a K-12 school setting in the San Jacinto area near Riverside, CA. This position spans a full semester and offers the chance to work closely with students requiring tailored instruction and support to succeed in their academic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students across K-12 grades.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ visual and learning needs.
  • Utilize Braille teaching methods and materials to enhance literacy skills where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure inclusive educational experiences.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records to support ongoing development.
  • Participate in professional development and team meetings to stay informed on best practices.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certification or significant experience as a teacher of visually impaired students.
  • Proficiency in Braille instruction and adaptation of learning materials.
